The life, the destiny, the mutations of his brother, brought Louis Ducos du Hauron to reside sometimes far from his native land. Yet it was on his Gascon land that most of his inventions were initially born, as if his genius could only be expressed close to his own roots.
Time in Algiers
It’s because he was forced that Louis Ducos du Hauron joined his brother in Algiers. All his thoughts brought him back to his « business » in Toulouse. From Algiers, he followed this first industrial opportunity while continuing his research and his experiments in photography and thus taking the first colour pictures of the African continent.
